What data we process and why

Visit statistics

We count visits with Umami, installed on our own server: it uses no cookies and builds no profiles. It only collects anonymous, aggregated data (pages viewed, referring website, device and browser type, country). The IP address is only used to work out the country and is not stored. We do this to improve the website (legitimate interest).

Website server

The website is hosted on a server in the European Union (Germany). We do not keep logs of individual visits.

Chosen language

If you change language, your choice is remembered only in your browser, so you see the same language next time. It is not a cookie and is never sent to us.

Enquiries and bookings on WhatsApp

If you message us on WhatsApp we process your name, phone number and what you write (dates, number of guests, questions) to reply and manage your booking (pre-contractual steps and contract). WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd (Meta group), which processes data under its own privacy policy. We keep chats for no more than 30 days.

Bookings on Booking.com and Airbnb

If you book through Booking.com or Airbnb, those platforms process your data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. We only receive the data needed for your stay.

During your stay

By law we send guests’ identity document details to the Italian State Police (Alloggiati Web) and process the data needed for the City of Naples tourist tax and for tax purposes. This data is kept only for as long as the law requires.

Cookies

The website uses no cookies, neither ours nor third-party ones. We use no advertising or profiling tools, and the website fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting the site does not connect you to outside services. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Links to other websites

The website links to Google Maps, OpenStreetMap and the ANM website (Naples public transport). If you open them, those websites process data under their own privacy policies.

Who we share data with

We never sell or hand over your data. We only share it with the authorities when the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use or object to its processing, and to receive it in a readable format. Just contact us on +39 333 294 6835.

If you believe your data is not being handled correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
